ITINERARY

New Glacier Express trains (Premium) from St. Moritz and Zermatt From 20th May 2006, the new Glacier Express will run from St. Moritz to Zermatt and in the opposite direction. The new trains are distinguished by increased passenger comfort and offer the following features:
Panorama carriages in 1st and 2nd class – In-seat catering, i.e. every guest can be served at lunchtime. Fresh cuisine will remain. Free information on the section in six languages with headphones

 

Day 1 - St. Moritz 
Arrival in St. Moritz by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or any Swiss airport. (O)


Day 2 - Zermatt 
Today you board the Glacier Express which is one of the great train journeys in the world. You travel from St. Moritz to Zermatt. A 71⁄2 hour railway journey across 291 bridges, through 91 tunnels and across the Oberalp Pass at 2’033 meters in altitude. Travel in comfort through the unspoiled natural beauty of a landscape rich in ancient, fragrant mountain forests, peaceful Alpine meadows, rushing mountain streams and mountain valleys, soaked in tradition and centuries-old culture. Day 3 - Zermatt
Return to Swiss border or airport or continue
