Day 01: Arrive Zagreb, Saturday
We will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure. Welcome dinner and overnight. (D,O)
Day 02: Zagreb, Sunday
Morning sightseeing tour will take you along the historic Upper Town, to see the St. Mark’s Church, the St. Catherine’s Church, the Cathedral, the Parliament and the Government Palace. Afternoon free. (B,O)
Day 03: Zagreb to Sarajevo, Monday
Continue our trip towards Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where we arrive around the dinner time. (B,D,O)
Day 04: Sarajevo to Dubrovnik, Tuesday
Sarajevo has been influenced by a number of cultures and civilizations. On your city tour visit the picturesque Turkish bazaar “Bas Carsija”, the Husref Bay’s Mosque, Olympic Stadium and Sarajevo War Tunnel Museum. Continue our trip through mountains and along the marvelous gorge of the River Neretva to Mostar, where we will see the remains of the Turkish quarter and the reconstruction efforts of the 16th century single arch stone bridge. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik. (B,D,O)
Day 05: in Dubrovnik, Wednesday
There is a walking tour of "Old Dubrovnik" this morning; the Rector’s Palace, Bell Tower clock, Orlando’s Column and the Sponza Palace. You will also see the Dominican Monastery and Franciscan Monastery with it’s Pharmacy, one of the oldest in the world. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B,O)
Day 06: in Dubrovnik, excursion to Montenegro, Thursday
Excursion to Republic of Montenegro, driving towards the mouth of the beautiful Bay of Kotor, the longest and deepest fjord in Southern Europe. See Risan and Kotor towns. Proceed to Cetinje, the one time seat of Montenegrin rulers, today a city- museum. After the sightseeing in Cetinje we return to the coast for a short stop by Sveti Stefan and Budva. Evening return to Dubrovnik. (B,O)
Day 07: Dubrovnik to Split, Friday
This morning we depart Dubrovnik and travel north along the spectacular Adriatic coast, past old fishing villages and new resorts, to Split. Enjoy a city tour featuring the historic inner city, built around Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. See remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle and the Cathedral (B,D,O)
Day 08: Split to Trogir and Plitvice Lakes, Saturday
After breakfast, we head north along the coast to Trogir, the center of artistic activities, where scholars from around the world gather to study and paint. Our journey continues as we turn inland towards the beautiful Plitvice Lakes National Park. (B,D,O)
Day 09: in Plitvice Lakes, Sunday
A full day to enjoy Plitvice National Park listed in UNESCO’s World Heritage list, the breathtaking scenery of this natural wonder of 16 terraced lakes surrounded by thickly wooded mountains and lush vegetation. In the morning, there’s a walking tour around several of the lower lakes. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B,D,O)
Day 10: Plitvice Lakes to Opatija and Bled, Monday
We return to the coast to the beautiful bay of Kvarner and its popular resort, Opatija. Orientation tour of Opatija will present the highlights of this former Imperial resort city. Drive to Ljubljana. Dinner, overnight. (B,D,O)
Day 11: Bled, Tuesday
Our sightseeing tour of Bled features the town of Bled with the lakeshore, and includes a visit to the Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake. Afterwards, proceed towards Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Our tour begins with a visit to the open-air market, the City Hall, Robba's Fountain, the Three Bridges and the Parliament. Return to Bled in the evening. (B,O)
Day 12: Bled to Venice, Wednesday
Leave Bled, driving south to Postojna, home to one of the largest caves
in Europe. Tour this fantastic subterranean world by miniature electric
train. Then, continue on to the marvelous city of Venice. (B,D,O)
Day 13: Venice, Thursday
Today begins with a walking tour of Venice featuring the major
highlights? St. Mark's Square, St. Mark's Basilica, the Doge's Palace,
the Bell Tower and the Bridge of Sighs. The tour ends with a visit to a
glass blowing factory where you may see the demonstration of a
traditional Venetian glass blowing. Rest of the day is at leisure.
Farewell dinner at local restaurant. (B,D,O)
Day 14: depart Venice, Friday
After breakfast we drive to Zagreb airport for your flight home. (B)
