Day 01: Nesjavellir
Arrival and overnight at the adventure and wilderness lodge Fosshotel Nesbud in the geothermal mountain area of Nesjavellir/Mt. Hengill. (O)

Day 02: Reykholt
Spend a day hiking at Thingvellir, Iceland's largest national park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 2 nights at Reykholt or similar. (B,O)

Day 03: Reykholt
Spend a day exploring Snaefellsnes, Iceland's newest national park. (B,O)

Day 04: Husavik
Drive north to Husavik, Europe's whale-watching capital, passing Akureyri, the capital of the north, and Godafoss - the waterfall of the gods. Entrance to the whale museum in Husavik included. Stay 3 nights at Fosshotel Husavik or similar. (B,O)

Day 05: Husavik
Explore Jokulsarjljufur National Park, featuring Asbyrgi canyon, the echo cliffs; and, if road conditions allow, travel to Dettifoss, Europe's most powerful waterfall. (B,O)

Day 06: Husavik
Enjoy Lake Myvatn, Namaskard hot springs, Krafla lava fields and the unique Myvatn Nature Baths, Iceland's newest geothermal spa. (B,O)

Day 07: Reykjavik 
Travel back to Reykjavik, stopping at the turf church of Vidimyri near Varmahlid, and at the Grabrok volcanic crater in the area of Bifrost. Overnight in Iceland's capital. (B,O)
