ITINERARY

Day 01: Reykjavik
Arrival in Iceland. If time allows, visit the Blue Lagoon and explore the Reykjanes peninsula. Overnight in Reykjavik. (O)

Day 02: Reykholt
Stroll through Reykjavik city center, visit the Family Park and Farm Animal Zoo and go to an outdoor swimming pool. Don’t miss the viewing platform at “Perlan”, from where you can enjoy a delicious ice cream. Younger children might like to feed the ducks and swans at the city pond. On a warm summer day you might just like to relax at Nautholsvík, a small beach with a hot tub, before driving on to Borgarfjordur, the saga valley. 3 nights in a family room. (B/O)

Day 03: Reykholt
Snæfellsnes peninsula awaits you. Explore the seal colony at Ytri-Tunga. Stykkishólmur is a pretty fishing village with many old houses. We recommend the boat tour on Breiðafjörður fjord.  (B/O)

Day 04: Reykholt
Bifröst area awaits, where you can explore the unique lava landscape on a walk around Glanni waterfall, Grábrók volcano and Hreðavatn Lake.  (B/O)

Day 05: Reykholt

Start the day with a visit to Hraunfossar waterfalls and Húsafell, where you can go swimming and play mini golf. Take an optional horseback riding tour in Húsafell and / or snowmobile tour on the glacier Langjökull. To reach Thingvellir, follow the Uxahryggir road (route 52). Enjoy Thingvellir National Park, where the first Viking parliament was held.

Day 06: Reykholt

Enjoy the Slakki Family Park and Farm Animal Zoo at Laugarás near Flúðir. Visit Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir hot springs and Kerið, a volcanic crater.

Day 07: Reykholt

Drive along the south coast and walk behind the waterfall Seljalandsfoss. The folk museum at Skógar and the nearby waterfall Skógafoss make a fascinating stop off. Visit the puffins at Cape Dyrhólaey and stroll along the endless beach of black sand in Reynishverfi, where families like to collect shells and beautiful stones. Drive to the picturesque village of Vík, and visit Seljavellir to enjoy one of the most remote outdoor swimming pools in Iceland, surrounded by high cliffs and the glacier Mýrdalsjökull.
