Suggested Itinerary:

Day 01: Nesjavellir
Arrival in Iceland. Visit the famed Blue Lagoon and experience its ethereal winter atmosphere before driving to Nesjavellir. Stay 3 nights at Fosshotel Nesbud or similar, including breakfast and 3-course "ugly fish" dinner on day of arrival. (B,O)

Day 02: Nesjavellir
Visit the huge Gullfoss waterfall, which could be frozen at this time of year, and Geysir, the fascinating geothermal area that gave its name to geysers worldwide. A winter walk through the fantastic lava fields of Thingvellir National Park takes you into the realm of ghosts, elves and hidden people. (B,O)

Day 03: Nesjavellir
The waterfalls, dark lava beaches and glittering glaciers of South Iceland enchant the visitor outdoors, while Iceland's finest folk museum and turf houses at Skogar offer a fascinating insight into Iceland's past. (B,O)
