We begin our tour with a short city tour of Reykjavik. Then via Hveragerdi toGullfoss which is known as the Queen of Iceland´s waterfalls.  We continue to the nearby famouns hot spring area of Geysir.  Our next stop today is at the old Parliament site at Pingvellir (Parliament fields) founded the year 930ad. We have to go around the fjord to reach the region of Borgarfjordur, where we stay next 2 nights. (D,O)

Today will be spent driving around the Snaefellsnes peninsula (the peninsula of the snowy mountain) with the glacier Snæfellsjokull, where according to Jules Verne´s book, the entrance to the center of the earth can be found.  We will pass Budir, Arnarstapi, Olafsvík, Bjarnarhofn shark processing farm and Stykkisholmur where we embark on a boat to enjoy a 2 ½ hours boat trip around the islands of Breidafjordur. We begin with visiting Deildatunguhver, one of the world's most powerful hot spring giving 198 liters per second, some of it channeled through a vent over a distance of 30 km and 60 km to heat up villages and farms on the way. We continue with the theme water visiting Hraunfossar (lava waterfalls) where crystal clear water seemingly drops out of a 1000 years old lava field. We go via Borgarnes village and through Hvalfjordur tunnel back to Reykjavik in time for the afternoon flights to US and UK. (B)
