ITINERARY


Day 1: Arrival Toulouse

Arrival at Toulouse airport. Private transfer and settle in your hotel located in the heart of the city.
Welcome dinner in a gourmet restaurant, as an introduction to the region's gastronomy. Overnight in Toulouse. (D,O)

Day 2: Gourmet Trail Toulouse

Breakfast at your hotel. This morning your guide will introduce you to the famous Victor Hugo Market, great food and wine, and spectacular ambiance. You will discover and taste typical French food from south west France. Then you will lunch in a typical restaurant, where you will enjoy the market products. This afternoon, you will enjoy a walking guided tour in Toulouse. The walk encompasses the history and stories about the most famous of Toulouse’s landmarks. During the walk we will pause, wonder & enjoy: the immense Place Capitôle & Toulouse’s stunning town hall; Basilique St-Sernin – a key stop on the pilgrim route to Santiago de Compostela; a stroll along the scenic Garonne; private town houses built during Toulouse’s “Golden Age”; and some good local stories and inside knowledge without which any walk would not be complete! Ideal as a first initiation to Toulouse. Overnight at your hotel. (B,O)

 

Day 3: Albi - Carcassonne

Breakfast at your hotel. Pick up by your driver-guide to discover Albi magnificent pink bricked town on the banks of the Tarn. Admire the fortified Cathedral of Sainte-Cécile , a masterpiece of the Southern Gothic style, before touring the Toulouse Lautrec museum in the old Bishop's Palace, imposing fortress (13th century). This afternoon you will discover Carcassonne. Visit of the citadel which dominates the old town. It's a town within a town, a maze of narrow cobbled streets within severe ramparts of thick walls. Back and overnight at your hotel. (B,O)

 

Day 4: Departure

Breakfast at your hotel and check out. Private transfer to the Toulouse airport or train station. End of our services. (B)
