ITINERARY

Nestled deep in the Arctic wilderness of Finnish Lapland, lies Levi fell village, on of Finland's most popular ski resorts. It is the perfect location to experience the unique beauty of Lapland. In the middle of the winter season the temperatures are crisp dry and cold. This is the season to experience the mystical blue twilight of the polar night. There is also a chance of glimpsing the swirling Northern Lights. By March the days are longer, temperatures rise, and snow conditions are at their best. Levi resort offers more than 200 km of cross country trails and is the ideal location for downhill beginners with gentle slopes and a warm and friendly atmosphere. There are several lively bars and restaurants, and facilities catering for families with play areas, creche and children's ski school. Attraction feature Finland's only gondola cable car, which provides spectacular climb to take in the breathtaking views at the top of the fell. Spa Hotel Levitunturi consists of a complex of 9 log houses. There is a pool and health spa offering a wide range of fitness facilities. Levi is located in western Lapland, 170 km north of the Arctic Circle. Nearest airport, Kittila, is 15 km away.

Day 1

Arrive at Kittila Airport. Transfer by chauffeur-driven car to Levi, just 20 minutes away. Buffet dinner and overnight at Spa Hotel Levitunturi. (D,O)

Day 2

Buffet breakfast is served at the hotel. Enjoy a taster snowmobile trip. Your safari guides will instruct you on how to ride a snowmobile and then, appropriately dressed in warm protective clothing, you set our for a 2-hour trip, driving two persons to a snowmobile. Buffet dinner and overnight at Spa Hotel Levitunturi. (B,D,O)
