Day 1:
Saturday - Munich
Your driver will take you to your hotel in your private limousine. Rest
of the day at leisure. (O)
Day 2: Sunday - Munich
At 09:30 am our guide will meet you at the lobby of the
hotel to take you on an extensive city tour of Munich – the capital of the state of Bavaria. Our first stop is at
Nymphenburg castle, the baroque palace was in former
times residence of the monarchs of Bavaria. Next will be
the Residence, Maximilian- & Leopold street, the Opera, the Olympic Grounds, the Marienplatz with the City Hall,
church St. Peter, the Viktualien-Market and many more.
And of course you will have the afternoon to stroll around
the Munich Christmas Market. In the evening the welcome dinner will take place in a
typical regional restaurant of Munich. (B/D/O)
Day 3: Monday - Munich, Oberammergau,
Hohenschwangau, Munich
After breakfast we will start heading south to go via the
town of Oberammergau, where every 10 years the famous
passion plays are taking place. Next stop is the Wies
church (Church of the “Flagellated Saviour in the Meadow”) on of the most beautiful rococo churches in Germany. On
we go to Hohenschwangau where we will have a light lunch at the hotel Mueller before you will visit
Neuschwanstein Castle built by King Ludwig II. This castle ranked no. eight when millions of people decided on the
“new seven world wonders” and was model for the
Cinderella castle by Walt Disney. In the late afternoon we
will return to Munich. (B/L/O)
Day 4: Tuesday - Munich, Nuremberg, Regensburg,
Munich
In the morning we are leaving Munich to go north to the
city of Nuremberg. This Franconia metropolis has a very
special flair, which you will experience on your orientate
city tour. You will see the Reichsparteitagsgelände (Party Rallye Grounds) , courtroom 600 where, the
beautiful old town with still preserved city wall and gates, the
Hauptmarkt, the Kaiserburg and a lot more. Nuremberg and the Franconia region is also famous for
the special grilled sausage the so called “Nuernberger Rostbratwuerste” you have to try, before you have time on
your own to visit the world's largest and most famous
Christmas Markets of the world. On the way home we will
make a short stop at the city of Regensburg where at the
castle of the family of Thurn & Taxis – who invented the
modern post delivery system - is a unique, little Christmas market. We will return to Munich in the evening.

Day 5: Wednesday - Munich, Salzburg, Munich
We will leave Germany and will be going to Salzburg for a
visit of the city of Mozart. Besides the well known sites
like Getreidegasse, the cathedral, the festival house, we
will also visit Mozart’s birthplace. And it is a must to try the local
specialty - the famous sweets the “Mozartkugeln”. Of course you will also have some time on your own for strolling
around on the Christmas market or have a ride up to the castle from where you have a
magnificent view of Salzburg and the surrounding mountain scenery. In the afternoon we are going back
to Munich. (B/O)
Day 6: Thursday - Munich, Rothenburg, Augsburg,
Munich
After breakfast we will be heading for another highlight
of this tour – Rothenburg o.d. Tauber – the medieval jewel of Germany. This ancient city has a well preserved city wall
, parts of it can be climbed and walked around, gorgeous half-timbered houses, a beautiful market square with the
city hall, the Jacob's Church with an wood carved altar by Tilman Riemenschneider and much more. Of course the
Christmas market is unique. On the way back to Munich we will have a short stop at the city of Augsburg, where our
guide will give an impression of the town that in former times was dominated by the Fugger trader dynasty.
In the evening you will enjoy your farewell dinner at the Ratskeller, a typical regional restaurant located in the
basement of the Munich City Hall. (B/D/O)
Day 7: Friday - Munich
