Day 1: Fortaleza

Day 2: Fortaleza

After breakfast, we go for a sightseeing ride through the city lasting about 3 hours, full of beauty, packed with emotions and pleasant surprises. Fortaleza is today the country’s 5th largest capital in the number of inhabitants, is a town which has retained its quiet, peace full and hospitable atmosphere. The stream-lined modern downtown, teeming with top-rate hotels, international class restaurants and excellent entertainment and leisure places, as well as the old town which is a guardian of the best of its past and traditions. The old light-house in Mucuripe, our lady of assumption fortress, the historical and Anthropological Museum, the Central Place, the former Public Prison building now turned into an up-to-date tourist center, and much more, linking past to present time. Return to hotel. Afternoon at disposal. Overnight. (B,O)

Day 3: Fortaleza - Sao Luis

After breakfast, our guide will assist you during your check out and transfer from hotel to Fortaleza airport for your short flight to São Luis, the Capital city of Maranhão state, in the Northeastern region of Brazil. Upon Arrival, we will guide you to a 3-hour Panoramic Sightseeing to the beaches of Calhau, São Marcos and Ponta D´areia, lake of Jansem, quarter of São Francisco, squares Dom Pedro II, Benedito Leite, João Lisboa, Deodoro, Gonçalves Dias, Central Market, Historical Center, Artists’ House, House of Maranhão, Craftsman Shops, fountain of Ribeirão and Artur Azevedo Theatre. Accommodation at hotel and overnight. (B,O) 

Day 4: Sao Luis

After breakfast, we will go on a 50-minute flight from São Luis to Barreirinhas, which is the gateway to Lençóis
Maranhenses. Upon arrival, we will take a 4x4 vehicle for a 3-hour tour to Lagoa Bonita and Azul, as well as the
small dunes of the National Park of Lençóis Maranhenses. Return to Barreirinhas for accommodation and
overnight at a selected pousada. (B,O)

Day 5: Lencois Maranhenses

After breakfast, we go take a speed boat known as “voadeiras” to cross the “ Rio Preguiça”, visiting some interesting and typical fishermen villages as Vassouras,
Mandacarú and Caburé; and exploring the other side of the Dunes. Return to Barreirinhas for overnight at the selected pousada. (B,O)

Day 6: Lencois Maranhenses

Breakfast. Balance of the Day at disposal for relaxing or taking some optional Tours. Overnight in Barreirinhas. (B,O)   

Day 7: Lencois Maranhenses - Salvador 

Breakfast. Departure to Barreirinhas airport for a 50- minute flight to São Luis., where we will take another short flight to Salvador, the capital of Bahia State. Upon
arrival, guide assistance and transfer from airport to selected hotel in Salvador. Accommodation and overnight. (B,O)

Day 8: Salvador

After Breakfast, we will start our day on a historical city tour, which shows two distinct aspects of Salvador, the new and the old, concentrating on the early expansion of the city and is a very good orientation for those wishing to further explore the city. We start in the modern suburb of Barra at the mouth of the Bay with its famous lighthouse and make our way slowly by car or coach to the old historical section of town, the Pelourinho area with the largest and best preserved complex of colonial architecture in the America's. We stroll through the narrow, bustling streets lined with buildings in pastel shades of an age gone by, soaking in the sights and sounds of this vibrant city. We visit the church of São Francisco with its exuberant gold-leafed Baroque interior and the Pelourinho square, the heart of the old town. We return to our vehicle and hotel by an alternative route. Afternoon at disposal. Overnight at selected hotel. (B,O)

Day 9: Salvador

After Breakfast, our guide will assist you during your hotel check out and your transfer to Salvador international airport for your flight back home. End of tour. (B,O)
