Albania shares borders with Serbia and Montenegro to the north, with Macedonia to the northeast, and with Greece to the south. Most of the country is wild and mountainous, with extensive forests. There are fine sandy beaches and, inland, many beautiful lakes.
Language: The official language is Albanian. Some Albanians also speak Italian and English. Greek is widely spoken in south Albania.

Climate: Temperate climate with warm and dry periods from June to September, cool and wet from October to May. April to June and mid-September to mid-October are the best months for visits.
